Your Rights

Children Rights: Things that children are entitled to have, things that they should have to become productive, positive members of society.

Children are among the most vulnerable of society. You students are fast becoming adults and will soon be one of the least vulnerable in our society. Looking back, what rights do you think children should have? What expectations should children around the world have in how they are treated? How should societies treat children so that they grow up to be productive, ethical citizens? In your groups, produce a Poster about what rights YOUR GROUP thinks children should have. In  presenting your Poster posting to the class, be prepared to explain your thinking behind deciding on your rights.

Step 1-Put your names at the top of the paper
Step 2-Brainstorm what children need to become productive, positive members of society
Step 3-Write down your Rights. Everyone has to have input on every Right. Everyone does have a veto. You are probably looking at more than a half dozen rights.
Step 4-Presentation to the class
