Today is an Equinox, a vernal equinox for us in the Northern hemisphere. Several things happen on this day. This year more than most, it really does seem like a change of season and the start of Spring

1. Our last equinox was September 20-22 around there.

3. A solstice is when a day has the most sunlight.
4. The last solstice was around December 20-22.
5. The days on around the last solstice were very short and it would get dark around 4:30 pm and get bright around 8:00 am.
6. It will probably be a pretty average day considering day and night will be exactly the same length. The day will be 12 hours and the night will also be 12 hours.

8. Our rotation on our axis causes the seasons I think. When Canada is higher on it's axis it's colder.
